Thank You Stillness!

This is how my life feels. Looking forward on the seas of life, but uncertain as to where things will take me. A common trend in the posts lately. Little by little I accept this point of stillness more and more. I know that one day I will untie myself from the moorings, and set sail on a journey of a lifetime. Yet, this time of being tethered is actually part of that journey.

The journey of being still can be a challenge. It's not easy to trust and to just "be" when so often we're taught that being active equals success, accomplishments, and our identity.

Thank you stillness for your comfort! Thank you for the simplicity that fills my life! Thank you for reminding me that all that I need is all that I have right now!

For what are you grateful at this moment?

Share with me, as we celebrate being grateful!

  1. Really nice post - I can relate! I'm working on learning to just "be" instead of always looking for the next climb.

I am grateful for a sunny (albeit cold), blue-sky day and for a safe return home after what could've been a bad bike ride... super windy; a car that pulled out in front of me unexpectedly causing me to slam on my brakes and swerve to avoid T-boning the car; and being able to change a mid-ride flat tire all by myself.

  2. Lovely post! I would say that you are already on the journey of a lifetime! Every breath and especially the stillness is all a part of the process. Enjoy it and be with it as much as possible. Shanti!
