Thank You Administrators!

Weather has wreaked havoc on mid-term exams in our county. An article posted today on the county website detailed a second set of contingency plans should more days be missed due to snow and/or ice. Learning and face-to-face time (students and teachers) are the foundation of the plan.

Thank you, school administrators, for being proactive, respectful, and fair to teachers and students! Thank you for clear communication to the entire community! Thank you for realizing what is best, and for implementing it, so we all can be successful!

Thank You Ideas!

This morning I was a bit on overdrive with things to do, and my brain felt as if a 1,000 piece puzzle had been over turned inside of it.  With some steady breathing, and continuing about the morning routine, ideas fit the questions very quickly.

A reminder that all the solutions are within, and all we have to do is ask.

Thank you ideas for being a source of calm this morning! Thank you for showing me a simple way of solutions! Thank you for helping me to get my day off to a great start!

Thank You Mystery Man and Family!

Mystery Man? and His Family!

Today I left my brain somewhere, and five steps into a snow-and-ice covered trail run I realized I didn't have my keys. (They were nice and toasty in my fully locked car.) In a moment I had a plan, which would change slightly once. I trekked to the guardless entry gate, and waited for a kind passerby whom I would ask to borrow his/her phone (as that, too, was snug as bug in my car).

Minutes passed, and then a man in a white contruction truck came to the gate, saw my waving arms, rolled down his window, listened to my story, and then pulled into a parking spot. He let me use his phone to call my Dad (who called AAA), while his wife and toddler waited patiently in the back seat.

Mystery Man and his family checked on me as they left the park, as AAA had not yet come.  They offered to wait with me, and another chance to use their phone.

Mystery Man and Family, thank you for showing the true kindness of humans! Thank you for taking a chance on a Steelers gold-and-yellow clad runner! Thank you for your patience as Dad called AAA, and thank you for the second pass by!

Thank You Life with Cancer Reiki Volunteers!

This week all Life with Cancer Reiki volunteers received an e-mail requesting help for a man in New York, a friend of the organization.  Within moments many jumped on board with suggestions to help him.  When another e-mail was sent on Friday, the plan of action was immediately the same and shared with all.

Thank you Life with Cancer for all the work that you do to improve the quality of life of people living with cancer, the opportunities you provide Reiki practioners, and the incredible benefactors that allow everyone involved to support each other in beyond positive ways!
